It is estimated that only 500 examples were produced, with ivory or grey dial.\nThe manufacturing quality of this model is remarkable, with a case combining the advantages of vintage and modern watches, a crown marked with the Calatrava Cross, a back inset with a golden medallion engraved “Patek Philippe - 1839-1989”, a superb subtly grained ivory dial adorned with white gold indexes and a small seconds at 6 o’clock, and a Patek Philippe 215 PS caliber bearing the Geneva Hallmark – attesting to excellent chronometric performance and traditional finishing.\nAdded to the rarity of the reference is the fact that steel is the least common and most prestigious material in the Calatrava collection, introduced in the 1930s.\nOur superbly preserved example is still accompanied by all the accessories it was born with: Original black strap and its steel pin buckle (both signed Patek Philippe), Certificate of Origin, Brown documents holder exclusive to Japan, Service book (remained blank: this watch had never been in service until Amplitude bought it), microfibre cloth, and even the credit purchase contract of the first owner!\nAbsolutely elegant, this Calatrava is the embodiment of refinement and “quiet luxury”.","brand":"Patek Philippe","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48776203927875,"sku":"LHU5","price":22350.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0759\/1378\/9763\/files\/LHU5-Patek-Philippe-Calatrava-ref-3718A-de-1989-150eme-Anniversaire-Edition-speciale-pour-le-marche-japonais-Front.jpg?v=1737661715"},{"product_id":"eska-st-moritz-10-136-prototype-nos-en-onyx-et-jaspe-rouge-lz7j","title":"Eska St. Moritz 10-136 – NOS Prototype in Onyx and Red Jasper","description":"This Eska watch in “new old stock” condition is part of a set of models, the “St. Moritz” collection, that’s shrouded in mystery.\nIn early 2024, a few watches from an old watchmaker’s stock appeared in Switzerland. All were new, and had different dials: tiger’s eye, mother-of-pearl, malachite, onyx, etc. Our research tends to indicate that these were in fact prototypes, developed by Eska in the early 1980s with gold-plated steel cases.\nAmong all the variants, we have chosen to keep this model, with a particularly attractive dial: two flat areas of onyx – a prestigious black stone used by major Swiss manufacturers for some of their most sought-after dials – surround a band of red stone, most certainly from the jasper family.\nThis Eska St. Moritz is equipped with a hand-wound mechanical movement, caliber ETA\/Peseux 7001, with a power reserve of 45 hours.","brand":"Eska","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":48776203960643,"sku":"LZ7J","price":1450.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0759\/1378\/9763\/files\/LZ7J-Eska-St-Moritz-10-136-_-Prototype-NOS-en-onyx-et-jaspe-rouge-Front.jpg?v=1737661712"},{"product_id":"tudor-prince-oysterdate-ref-7914-de-1957-cadran-honeycomb-radium-et-date-roulette-l8yq","title":"1957 Tudor Prince Oysterdate Ref. 7914 – “Honeycomb” Radium Dial and Roulette Date","description":"This superb Tudor Ref. 7914 in stainless steel features a rare embossed cream dial known as “honeycomb” or “Honeycomb”, original radium sword-shaped hands, the Tudor rose sought after by collectors, faceted hour markers, a date window at 3 o’clock known as a “roulette” date in that the even-day numerals are red while the odd days are black, a fine anonymous vintage riveted expandable bracelet typical of the 1950s, and a perfectly working Tudor Auto-Prince cal. 395 self-winding mechanical movement.\nThe stainless steel case measures 34 mm in diameter. It is topped with a Plexiglas crystal fitted with a Cyclops, the magnifying lens patented by Rolex to make the date at 3 o’clock easier to read. The caseback is signed Montres Tudor S.A., and the original screw-down crown bears the Rolex logo and the “+” of the Swiss patent.\nHoneycomb dials were extremely complex to manufacture and were abandoned in favour of simpler executions at the turn of the 1960s. The examples that have survived the decades are often damaged today, when they have not been repainted or poorly restored over the course of their lives. The dial on our watch is entirely original and incredibly well preserved.\nIn short, modern Tudors offer excellent value for money, but if you are looking for a vintage watch with a soul and a unique patina, this is the one! The example that we are pleased to present is large and single-sided, in that when the case rotates, a yellow gold back protects the watch from external attacks. This text is a rare detail that underlines the precision and superior quality recognized by chronometry tests, and increases both the visual appeal of the watch and its value for collectors.\nIndeed, the textured dials produced by Rolex in the 1950s, much less common than the simpler, smooth models, often got damaged over time, which explains the large proportion of reprinted\/restored dials on the market. Savvy collectors reject these alterations, and instead seek out the example that is both original and well preserved. Preserved in New Old Stock condition, this watch is a special opportunity for the passionate collector to acquire a perfect example of this unusual model appreciated by enthusiasts.\n1983 was an important year for Jaeger-LeCoultre, during which the manufacturer delved into its past to present several reissues of iconic models as well as limited editions, opened its museum, and organized a historical exhibition around the world (as it had done in 1958 for the previous Jubilee).\nThe stainless steel case features alternating mirror-polished and satin\/brushed surfaces, the bezel is in 18-carat yellow gold. The case back features a special brushed medallion with an oversized “JL Memovox” logo. The 2 crowns (one for the alarm and the other for the timekeeping part) are signed.\nSuperb 2-tone dial with a subtly grained texture, JL logo and applied indexes in yellow gold, date window at 3 o’clock. The scales, in shades of white and grey, echo the case while the stitching is gold-coloured, a nod to the hands, markers and bezel.","brand":"Jaeger-LeCoultre","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49162936156483,"sku":"CDVP","price":4350.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0759\/1378\/9763\/files\/CDVP-Jaeger-LeCoultre-Memovox-Edition-Speciale-a-300-ex-Jubile-150-Ans-de-1983-ref-1410125-Neuve-de-stock-Front.jpg?v=1737661852"},{"product_id":"rolex-datejust-ref-1601-champagne-wide-boy-sigma-de-1974-en-or-et-acier-lt2h","title":"1974 Rolex Datejust Ref. 1601 “Champagne Wide Boy Sigma” in Steel and Gold","description":"This Rolex Datejust reference 1601, in steel with a fluted yellow gold bezel, was produced in 1974 (serial number 359xxxx). Its superb champagne-coloured dial is called the “Wide Boy” because it features distinctive, very wide hour markers alternating between matte and shiny surfaces, as well as matching hands. The “Sigma” qualifier is also relevant because of the presence of “σ” (Sigma) symbols on either side of the “T SWISS T” inscription at 6 o’clock, which denotes the use of solid gold for both the hour markers and the hands. This variant of the Wide Boy Sigma dial + handset duo is rare and sought after by collectors, especially since the dots of luminescent material at the tips of the hour markers and on the hands (tritium base) are perfectly preserved and have developed a superb, uniform eggshell patina.\nThis piece is part of the Datejust 160x series, celebrated and appreciated for their so-called “Pie-Pan” dials, giving them an unparalleled vintage charm.\nIn very good overall condition and recently serviced by a qualified watchmaker, this Datejust reference 1601 is an excellent vintage collector’s watch, while also being perfectly usable on a daily basis due to its build quality and the reliability of its automatic movement.","brand":"Rolex","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49162936320323,"sku":"LT2H","price":5250.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0759\/1378\/9763\/files\/LT2H-Rolex-Datejust-1601-Champagne-Wide-Boy-Sigma-de-1974-en-or-et-acier-Front.jpg?v=1737661847"},{"product_id":"exceptionnelle-audemars-piguet-fleurs-bleues-en-or-blanc-et-diamants-probablement-unique-automatique-cal-2121-x47e","title":"Exceptional Audemars Piguet Blue Flowers in White Gold and Diamonds, Likely Unique, Automatic Cal. 2121","description":"We are proud to present this superb Audemars Piguet wristwatch in white gold, never before seen on the market, likely unique, and in near mint condition.\nThe texture of its blue dial – reminiscent of twill fabric – its diamond indexes, its high-quality extra-flat automatic movement: nothing was left to chance in the craft of this exceptional, possibly unique watch by one of the most prestigious Swiss manufactures of all time.","brand":"Audemars Piguet","offers":[{"title":"Default Title","offer_id":49183673090371,"sku":"X47E","price":29999.0,"currency_code":"EUR","in_stock":false}],"thumbnail_url":"\/\/cdn.shopify.com\/s\/files\/1\/0759\/1378\/9763\/files\/X47E-Exceptionnelle-Audemars-Piguet-Fleurs-Bleues-Automatique-en-or-blanc-et-diamants-probablement-unique-Front.jpg?v=1737661863"},{"product_id":"rolex-datejust-oysterquartz-ref-17000-de-1982-parfait-etat-et-superbe-patine-ytec","title":"1982 Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz ref. 17000 – Perfect Condition \u0026 Superb Patina","description":"We present a superb example of the Rolex Datejust Oysterquartz in steel, produced in 1982.\nLaunched in the late 1970s, the Oysterquartz collection is the result of many years of research and development by Rolex, aimed at combining the reliability of a quartz movement with the robustness and classic aesthetics of the celebrated Datejust line.\nThe black dial of our watch is particularly striking. This is the question that vintage Rolex Submariner enthusiasts often ask one another. Rolex introduced the reference 1680 in 1967 – the first model in the collection to feature a date window topped with a Cyclops, the magnifying glass affixed to the plexiglas crystal. First produced with dials marked SUBMARINER in red, the “Great White” versions were then produced between 1977 and 1979.\nSix dial variations existed for the reference 1680 with red SUBMARINER inscription. This is a “Mark IV \/ Mk 4”, recognizable in particular by the shape of the open 6s, the red overprint on the initially white SUBMARINER line, and the depth inscription called “feet first” (for the first time on the reference 1680, Rolex first indicates 660 feet before the 200 meters equivalent, taking into account the growing importance of the American market at the turn of the 1970s).\nThe luminescent indexes (tritium base), like the hands, have developed a beautiful, uniform eggshell patina which greatly contributes to the “vintage” charm of this Red Sub’.\nThe stainless steel case is well preserved and topped with a plexiglass crystal. The unidirectional diving bezel insert is in excellent condition. The case back is engraved IV.70, for production during the 4th quarter of 1970 – perfectly matching the serial number.\nThe accompanying Rolex Oyster bracelet with folded links in steel, reference 9315 and 380 end links is in excellent condition and appreciated by collectors.
