Echoing this tradition is the patented strap attachment system launched in 1947 with the Reflet: with no “spring bar” or traditional spring, the strap clips directly into the case. In the 1970s, the Carrée applied this system to a square case and pushed the grammar of “all-gold guilloché” to a rare degree: the “Clous de Paris” pattern covers the sides of the case as well as the entire dial, for a striking textural effect.\nThe example we are pleased to offer, in 18-carat yellow gold and measuring 24.5 × 32 mm, bears the “JP” hallmark of Jules Person, one of the great Parisian master case-makers of the 20th century. The surfaces alternate hobnail guilloché, satin finishing and mirror-polished edges. Two slender gold baton hands animate the hobnail dial, with no hour markers or visible signature: absolute purity of line. The manual-winding ETA 2512 caliber, signed Boucheron, has been fully overhauled by one of our experienced watchmakers and runs perfectly.
