This Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classique Medium Thin in steel, a reference Q2518540/222.8.47 initially sold in 2021, is the contemporary interpretation of the model created in 1931 for British polo players stationed in India.
The 24.4 x 40.1 mm rectangular steel case features the patented flip mechanism that made this watch famous – initially an elegant protection for the glass, now an aesthetic signature.
The two-tone silver dial is understated and legible with its black painted Arabic numerals, open minute track and blued steel sword hands.
The quartz movement, Jaeger-LeCoultre caliber 657 with "1000 Hours Control" certification, has been serviced by one of our watchmakers and operates according to the strictest tolerances. The battery and gaskets have been replaced with new ones.
We have chosen to present this Reverso Classique Medium Thin on a camel-colored ostrich leather strap, the quintessential configuration of the Reverso Medium size in steel, completed with its Jaeger-LeCoultre steel pin buckle.
This watch still comes with its original Jaeger-LeCoultre warranty card, showing an initial sale on August 13, 2021, as well as a warranty card from German retailer Chronext.

This Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso Classique Medium Thin, reference Q2518540 or 222.8.47, is preserved in excellent overall condition.
The rectangular steel case retains its original proportions and finishes, combining mirror/shiny polish for the majority of the watch, vertical satin/matte brushing on the case back, and sandblasting for the inside of the grooves on the brancards. The case hinges and turns smoothly.
The inscriptions on the case back – notably the reference and serial numbers – are legible, deep and clear.
The winding crown still features the original "JL" logo, in perfect condition.
The original two-tone silver dial is in perfect condition. No inscriptions are missing, and the black minute track is impeccable. The blued steel sword hands are perfectly preserved.
The camel ostrich leather strap is new, and completed with a Jaeger-LeCoultre steel pin buckle, in perfect condition.
