1989 Audemars Piguet “Round Cobra” in White Gold & Diamonds with Integrated Bracelet

An elegant and desirable white gold Audemars Piguet with an integrated white gold bracelet, known as the “Round Cobra”, produced circa 1989.
The vertically brushed silver dial features 12 diamond-set indexes, while the hands are set with 21 diamonds.
The original integrated bracelet is very supple, and extends, including on the buckle, the hammered/micro-textured pattern of the case.
This watch is powered by the ultra-thin Audemars Piguet 2080 caliber, based on the Frédéric Piguet 810. This hand-wound mechanical movement has been used, among others, by Audemars Piguet and Vacheron & Constantin on various very thin models.
The solid, clip-on case back, also in 18-carat white gold, bears the gold hallmarks and the case serial number on the outside.
Preserved in perfect overall condition, and fully serviced by an experienced watchmaker, this Audemars Piguet, albeit initially intended for men, is now perfectly suitable for both women's and men's wrists.
In a context of ever-growing popularity of the Cobra design language, finding this uncommon variant in such nice condition is a treat!

This Audemars Piguet, known as the “Round Cobra”, is preserved in superb overall condition.
The silver dial is flawless, the "AUDEMARS PIGUET" signature at 12 o'clock and its 12 diamond indexes are in perfect condition. The original hands are also perfectly preserved.
The 18k white gold case is intact, and its hand-hammered/notched pattern is extended all the way down the bracelet, and even to the buckle, which features a flawless "AP" medallion on the front and gold and maker's marks on the back – all perfectly legible. To accommodate even the largest wrists, the integrated white gold bracelet has been lengthened by the addition of a white gold plate, extending the pattern across the entire bracelet. This bracelet extension can be removed at the request of the next owner, to shorten the wrist circumference. The clip-on case back is impeccable, featuring 2 gold hallmarks and the engraved case serial number, all deep and clean.
The hand-wound mechanical movement, Audemars Piguet caliber 2080 based on the Frédéric Piguet 810 ébauche, has been fully serviced by one of our experienced watchmakers and operates to the strictest tolerances, displaying a professional timegrapher reading of 275° amplitude, +5 s/d, and 0.1 ms beat error – flawless!
