1997 Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31 Ref. 67480 – Blue “Explorer 3-6-9” Dial, Original Warranty, Perfect Condition

This superb steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31, a reference 67480 produced (serial U16xxxx) in 1997, features a smooth steel bezel, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, an extremely reliable and precise automatic movement, and a magnificent blue tritium dial known as “Explorer 3-6-9”, with baton hour markers and applied Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock – one of the most desirable configurations for this model.
Our example is still accompanied by its original “punched” Rolex warranty document, showing an initial sale on 26 November 1997 at the official Rolex retailer Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Co., Ltd. in Hong Kong (China).
In perfect aesthetic and mechanical condition, and entirely original down to the clasp code of its bracelet, this example embodies Rolex’s very DNA: efficient lines, purity and elegance, durability, mechanical reliability and exemplary wearing comfort. A “must-have”, perfect for everyday wear with casual and formal attire alike.

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31 is preserved in perfect overall condition.
The stainless steel case retains its original proportions and finishes, alternating between brushed/satin surfaces and mirror-polished sides. The original green Rolex sticker is even still present on the caseback, testifying that this watch has practically never been worn since its initial sale almost 30 years ago.
The blue dial known as “Explorer 3-6-9” is flawless.
The automatic mechanical movement, Rolex caliber 2130, was fully checked by one of our experienced watchmakers before the watch was put up for sale and runs within the strictest tolerances.
The winding crown is in perfect condition.
The original steel Oyster “semi-shrouded” bracelet, reference 78350/17, end links 551 B, clasp code Z9 (produced in September 1997) is very well preserved, with no slack. The Rolex crown stamped on the clasp is crisp.
