Exceptional Patek Philippe Ellipse d’Or 3634 in White Gold with Blue Dial

Extraordinary, superb, and never seen before, this Patek Philippe Ellipse d'Or/Golden Ellipse from the 1970s is one of our greatest finds to date.
Preserved in excellent condition and just back from the expert hands of the watchmakers and polishers of Patek Philippe in Geneva, this watch exudes a unique and timeless charm.
The blue sunburst/radiant solid gold dial contrasts wonderfully with the white of the case and bracelet, and its indexes, alternating batons and Roman numerals, are hand-engraved. At 6 o'clock, it features two “σ” symbols (Sigma APRIOR) denoting the use of gold for the dial and Dauphine hands.
The large gadrooned case, in 18-carat white gold, comes from the prestigious Favre-Perret workshops in La Chaux-de-Fonds.
It contains the legendary Patek Philippe caliber 28-255 with automatic winding – the same one used for the reference 3700, the first Nautilus.
The integrated white gold bracelet, of exemplary manufacturing quality, features a unique hammered pattern, whose matte appearance matches the shine of the case.

The white gold gadrooned case does not present any significant impact.
The sunburst blue dial is original, without blemishes or scratches. There is simply discoloration around some of the hand-engraved indexes, a very common phenomenon on blue dials produced at the time.
The magnificent integrated white gold bracelet retains its original hammered finish and remains perfectly matte.
The self-winding movement has been thoroughly serviced by Patek Philippe in Geneva and functions perfectly.
