The Cartier Must collection was launched in the 1970s. Conceived to make Cartier’s creations more accessible, at the very moment the famous house was reinventing itself following the unification of its three branches in New York, London and Paris, the line proposed the brand’s emblematic designs with a modern touch and less costly materials.
The Cartier Tank Must, launched in 1977, is one of the flagship pieces of this collection. It revisits the timeless design of the iconic watch known as the “Tank Louis”, created in 1917, adding colourful variants and materials such as vermeil (gold-plated silver).
Over the years, the Tank Must has appeared in many versions, incorporating mechanical and quartz movements, as well as innovations such as the solar-powered dial.
The Grande Taille Tank Must we are offering, with dimensions (23 × 30 mm) inherited from the gold Cartier Tank Louis, is fitted with a beautiful cream dial bearing painted black Roman numeral markers in the purest tradition of the famous Parisian jeweller.
In excellent aesthetic condition and recently serviced and checked by a qualified watchmaker, accompanied by a black grained leather strap and a Cartier pin buckle, this Cartier Tank Must in vermeil (gold-plated silver) is an ideal watch to wear daily as well as for the most elegant occasions, equally suited to both men and women.

This Cartier Tank Must, in its “Grande Taille” version, is preserved in excellent aesthetic condition, with a perfect ivory/cream dial and a domed mineral crystal that is impeccably preserved, free from chips or scratches. The blued steel hands are flawless.
The fluted winding crown is set with a blue cabochon in perfect condition.
Surface micro-scratches may be present on the case, which retains its Yellow Gold plating.
The manual-winding mechanical movement has undergone a complete service by one of our watchmakers and runs within the strictest tolerances.
The black grained leather strap is in good condition and can be replaced on simple request. It is paired with an authentic Yellow Gold-Plated Cartier pin buckle.
