1966 Omega Constellation 168.017 – Collector's Set

This Omega Constellation, reference 168.017 nicknamed “C-Shape” or “Tonneau” was produced and sold in 1966 in Japan, as evidenced by the Omega International Warranty which still accompanies it, almost 60 years after its birth.
Stainless steel case, smooth bezel, silver dial and original hands without luminescent material, date window at 3 o'clock, high quality, chronometer certified self-winding mechanical movement (Omega caliber 561), curved plexiglass crystal, original fluted crown, Omega steel bracelet with 5 “brick” links (reference 1507, 18 end links) and folding clasp.
In superb overall condition, still accompanied by its documents and delivered with a red Omega box, this Constellation C-Shape is an excellent piece to wear every day and to start a collection of vintage watches!

Excellent overall condition.
The tonneau/barrel-shaped steel case is superbly preserved, with sharp angles and clean demarcations between satin-brushed and mirror-polished surfaces. The Geneva Observatory medallion on the case back has certainly never been polished. The fluted winding crown is original and in perfect condition.
The silver dial and hands, without luminescent material, are in perfect condition without discoloration or scratches, only some surface oxidation marks are visible on the indexes and hands.
The mechanical self-winding movement, Omega caliber 561, has been thoroughly overhauled and operates within the strictest tolerances.
The Omega bracelet is in very good condition and shows no stretch. The Ω crown on the folding clasp is perfectly clear.
The documents accompanying this Omega Constellation have partially yellowed/patinated over time but show no gaps, erasures or tears.
