1997-1998 Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31 Ref. 67480 – Original Rolex Warranty + Salmon “Explorer 3-6-9” Dial

This superb steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31, a reference 67480 produced (serial number U75xxxx) in 1997, features a smooth steel bezel, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, an extremely reliable and precise automatic movement, and a magnificent tritium salmon dial known as the “Explorer 3-6-9”, with baton hour markers and applied Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock – one of the most desirable configurations for this model.
Our example is still accompanied by its original “punched” Rolex warranty document, showing an initial sale on 23 September 1998 at Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Co., Ltd., official Rolex retailer in Hong Kong (China).
In perfect aesthetic and mechanical condition – the original green Rolex sticker is even still present on the caseback! – and entirely original down to the bracelet clasp code, this example embodies Rolex’s very DNA: efficient lines, purity and elegance, durability, mechanical reliability and exemplary wearing comfort. A “must-have”, perfect for everyday wear in casual or formal attire.

This Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31 is preserved in perfect overall condition.
The stainless steel case retains its original proportions and finishes, alternating between brushed satin surfaces and mirror-polished sides. The original green Rolex sticker is even still present on the caseback, attesting that this watch has been worn extremely little since its initial sale almost 30 years ago.
The salmon sunburst dial shows no defects, and the luminous material of its hands and hour markers (tritium base) has developed a light eggshell patina, warm and uniform.
The automatic mechanical movement, Rolex caliber 2130, was fully serviced before the watch was put on sale by one of our experienced watchmakers and runs within the strictest tolerances.
The winding crown is in perfect condition.
The original steel Oyster bracelet, reference 78350/17, 551 B end links, U8 clasp code (produced in August 1998), is very well preserved, with no stretch. The Rolex crown stamped on the clasp is crisp.
