This superb steel Rolex Oyster Perpetual 31, a reference 67480 produced in 1997 (serial number U23xxxx), features a smooth steel bezel, a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, an extremely reliable and accurate self-winding movement, and a beautiful pink/salmon “Explorer 3-6-9” dial with baton indexes and applied Arabic numerals at 3, 6 and 9 o’clock – one of the most desirable configurations for this model.
Our example still comes with its original Rolex punched warranty document, stating an initial sale on March 7, 1998 from the official Rolex retailer King Fook Gold & Jewellery Co., Ltd. of Hong Kong (China).
In perfect aesthetic and mechanical condition, and entirely original down to the buckle code of the bracelet, this example concentrates the very DNA of Rolex: efficiency of lines, purity and elegance, durability, mechanical reliability, and exemplary wearing comfort. This Rolex Oyster Perpetual is preserved in perfect overall condition.
The stainless steel case retains its original proportions and finishes, alternating between brushed/satin-finished surfaces and mirror-polished sides.
The pink/salmon sunburst dial has no defects.
The self-winding mechanical movement, Rolex caliber 2130 certified as a “superlative chronometer” by the COSC, was fully serviced by one of our experienced watchmakers and operates to the strictest tolerances.
The winding crown is in perfect condition.
The original stainless steel Oyster bracelet, reference 78350/17, end links 551 B, buckle code Z11 (made in November 1997) is very well preserved, with no stretch. The Rolex crown stamped on the buckle is sharp.
