The Cartier Tank Louis is undeniably one of the most iconic and celebrated watch designs since its introduction in 1917.

Today we present a variant from the 1980s, reference 88105/W1512856, in 18 carat yellow gold and preserved in superb overall condition.
Its case measures 23 x 30 mm – the classic dimensions of the vintage men’s Tank, now equally suited to men’s and women’s wrists. With its clean lines and rounded corners, it has a discreet yet assertive presence. The typical fluted crown, set with a blue cabochon, is another detail that contributes to the sophisticated feel of this amazing wristwatch. It features a brilliant white “SWISS MADE” dial in perfect condition, with black painted Roman numeral hour markers, and is topped with two blued steel sword hands – all signatures of the Cartier style. This Tank Louis is equipped with a quartz movement of unrivalled precision and practicality, which has been serviced by one of our experienced watchmakers.
This perfect example is accompanied by its elegant and comfortable original Cartier folding clasp in 18-carat yellow gold, at the time offered as an extra, a signed Cartier strap in black crocodile leather, its red and gold Cartier box, and an insurance valuation document produced by Cartier Paris in May 2016.

This Cartier Tank Louis reference 88105/W1512856 is preserved in superb overall condition.
The rectangular 18K yellow gold case retains its original proportions and finishes, with mirror-polished sides and brushed/satin-finished central sections. The caseback, entirely vertically brushed, is in near-mint condition, retaining all of its original engravings (reference and serial numbers, Cartier Paris / Tank Quartz / 18K / SWISS MADE inscriptions, gold and maker's hallmarks), perfectly deep and clear. The fluted crown is set with a blue cabochon.
The "SWISS MADE" dial is bright white and in perfect condition, without any cracks, stains or scratches, with black painted Roman numeral indexes. It is topped with two blued steel sword hands, also in perfect condition. The domed glass has no defects.
The Cartier black crocodile leather strap (adjustable) is in very good condition, as is the original Cartier 18k yellow gold folding clasp.
The red Cartier box and the insurance valuation document (May 2016) are perfectly preserved.
