The Must de Cartier collection was born in the 1970s. Designed to make Cartier's creations more accessible, even as the famous house was renewing itself following the unification of its three branches in New York, London and Paris, this line offers the brand's iconic designs with a modern twist and more affordable materials.
The Cartier Tank Must model, launched in 1977, is one of the flagship pieces of this collection. It takes the timeless design of the famous Tank watch known as "Louis," created in 1917, adding colorful variations and materials such as vermeil.
Over the years, the Tank Must has been released in numerous versions, incorporating mechanical and quartz movements, and innovations such as a sunlight-powered movement.
The Tank Must Grande Taille that we are offering, with dimensions (23 × 30 mm) inherited from the classic men's size Tank Louis Cartier in gold, is part of the creative audacity that the Parisian house has granted to the Must collection. Equipped with a superb and unusual “Trinity” dial (in the colors of the three golds – yellow, pink and white), in excellent aesthetic condition and recently serviced by a qualified watchmaker, accompanied by a new hand-sewn Amplitude° strap in black grained leather and a gold-plated Cartier pin buckle, this Tank Must de Cartier in vermeil (silver plated with 20 microns of yellow gold) is an ideal watch for everyday wear as well as for the most elegant occasions, suitable for both men's and women's wrists.

This Cartier Tank Must, known as the "Grande Taille", is preserved in excellent aesthetic condition, featuring a dial collectors refer to as the "Trinity" variant and a mineral glass that has been replaced anew, with no cracks or scratches.
The blued steel sword hands are in very good condition.
The 3-gold dial has very slight discoloration in the corner at 4:30, although this is not visible when the watch is on the wrist.
The fluted winding crown is set with a blue cabochon in very good condition.
Micro-surface scratches may be present on the case, preserved in excellent overall condition, with legible and clear engravings on the back.
The hand-wound mechanical movement has been fully serviced by an experienced watchmaker and operates to the strictest tolerances.
The hand-sewn Amplitude° strap in black grained leather is new, and completed with a Cartier gold-plated pin buckle, in perfect condition.
